1978 Dodge Challenger Parts
The 1978 Dodge Challenger might not get as much attention as its early 70s muscle car brothers, but it still had plenty to offer. This was the final year of the second-generation Challenger, with a sleeker, more European-inspired design compared to the brutish styling of the first-gen models. While the big-block V8s were gone, you could still get a 225 Slant-Six, 318, or 360 V8 under the hood. If you’re bringing one back to life, your first stop should be engine components, brake kits, and replacement weatherstripping to keep it road-ready. A lot of these Challengers suffered from rusted-out quarter panels and worn suspension parts, especially if they were daily driven in bad weather. If you’ve got a wobbly front end or squeaky control arms, a front-end rebuild kit is a must. Whether you’re fixing up a survivor or doing a full restoration, Classic Parts Pro will have Challenger parts coming soon—make sure you’re on the list to know when they drop!
